How fortunate am I to live, work, learn and play in the great state of Montana?
I am a Montana native and am grateful to be living in my hometown of Great Falls with my family the past twenty years. My husband and I have two children who have had the glorious advantage of having two sets of grandparents in town. We enjoy our family time.
Having worked as an elementary teacher in Idaho and Washington, I continued my profession as a middle school gifted education teacher when we moved back to Great Falls. I took time away from full time work to focus on motherhood and volunteering before coming back into work as a substitute. One of the sub placements happened to be at the Adult Education Center. Now working here every day, I have found a new chapter of helping others learn and grow in their education!
I attended and graduated schools with Great Falls Public Schools from kindergarten through high school. I have earned my Bachelors degree of Elementary Education from MSU-Billings (formerly EMC as my diploma states) and Masters degree of Teaching-Gifted Education from Whitworth College-Spokane, WA. I continue to learn from continuing education workshops and my students as well!
The Montana playground offers much for my interests which include Glacier National Park hiking, sightseeing and photography, digging in my flower gardens, and creating mixed media paintings. I have been swishing my brush across the canvas for quite a few years, but am just beginning to show my artwork. It has been a wonderful new venture!
Yes, I am happy to be here. Here in Montana, Great Falls, and with students and staff of Adult Education.
